Dear BioFITers,
After BioFIT Steering Committee’s meeting last month and the heated debates that followed, this year’s preliminary topics are finally acted upon:
This year’s plenary session will tackle Innovation in Europe, and each conference track will feature round tables, case studies and expert forums to discuss our audience’s concerns.
Focused on best practices collaborative research, Track 1 will put forward the analysis of innovation hubs, the mindset and method correlations in academia/industry collaborations and how to accelarate the deal-making process.
Tackling licensing and tech transfer issues, Track 2 will emphasize topics related to the spin-out process from the university, how to identify the right CEO for an academic spin-off and how to improve dialogue with industry in order to accelerate the translation of innovation to market.
In a challenging environment for financing early stage innovation, Track 3 topics will discuss universities involvement in new venture funds, tips & tricks to spark VCs interest, and the European seed capital market.
What a nice teaser, we can’t wait to discover the official preliminary conference program, and are looking forward to meeting you in Lille!
