Nadine S. Sommerfeld is Business Development Manager at the Lead Discovery Center (LDC) in Dortmund, Germany. LDC was established in 2008 by the technology transfer organisation Max Planck Innovation aiming to transform innovative projects from academic research into medically and commercially attractive drug candidates.

Nadine studied Chemistry at the Technical University of Berlin, further enriched by academic experiences at the University Technology Sydney and University College London. After she earned her doctoral degree from the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Vienna, she co-founded the biotech start-up “P4 Therapeutics.” For 4 years she accompanied the Austrian company as CEO through the roller-coaster of preclinical development of the cancer drug “Albuplatin”. Throughout the years Nadine has provided guidance to a multitude of projects in her role as a spin-off advisor and pitch trainer.
