Vanessa is an Associate at Forbion and joined the investment team in March 2022. Prior to Forbion, Vanessa was an Associate at PharmaVentures, working on transaction advisory and corporate strategy projects. Prior to that, Vanessa worked at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) as a scientist and co-Principal Investigator for a translational drug development project. She also brings experience in mentoring early-stage healthcare spin-off projects with business accelerators such as MassChallenge and Bench2biz. Vanessa holds a BSc in Biotechnology from the University of Pavia in Italy, an MSc in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in Germany, and a PhD in Chemical Biology with a focus on peptide drug discovery from EPFL in Switzerland.
