The Pharma Logistics Club organises a lunch-debate on March 15th (Cité des Echanges in Marcq-en-Baroeul) around logistics issues of health products.

During this lunch debate, Etienne Vervaecke, Eurasanté, Nicolas De Clerck, Club logistique et transport
Pascale Percherin, LFB will present their organisations and share their experience with the participants.

This conference will also be an opportunity to present BioFIT to this new audience.

The Pharma Logistics Club (PLC) is a professional association with 50 members including a dozen of health institutions. Its purpose is to facilitate relationships between professionals in the supply chain, laboratories, freight forwarders… in the health sector. PLC organises lunch debates, site visits, working committees and regular meetings to allow to cross its audiences.

BioFIT Steering Committee met last month, what did you discuss?

Our goal is to surpass the expectations of BioFIT’s visitors, to update the event programme with up-to-the-minute content. We focused on enhancing the conference programme and creating new meeting opportunities. This is a very exciting time for the Steering Committee.

What’s new in the BioFIT 2016 programme?

An exciting opportunity will be the Slam Sessions, which are designed to give young researchers and academic spinoffs the chance to publicly pitch their research and business projects to a jury of experts. These slams are an opportunity to exchange ideas and receive feedback from experienced professionals. In addition, the presenters will improve their public speaking skills and benefit from the audience’s participation. This is the way to involve the entire BioFIT community and also advice future project leaders.

The BioFIT programme is more varied this year: what will change?

We will keep the sessions scheduled for the two-day conference programme which will focus on three themes:

• Track 1: Showcasing best practices in collaborative research,
• Track 2: Highlighting key issues in licensing and tech transfer and
• Track 3: Discussing early stage innovation funding.

However, the sessions will be reworked to be more interactive, with formats such as expert forums, workshops, break-out sessions and panels.

We look forward to discovering BioFIT in Lille on 30^th November and 1^st December 2016. BioFIT is the only place to meet the right people for early stage Life Sciences innovation.
